Seagate 7200.14 and 4KB HDD Selective Head Image Is Added To DFL-DDP USB3.0

Since the new version of V1.34, Dolphin Data lab has added the selective head image support of 4kb sector sized hard drives such as the Seagate DM series-DM001, DM003, DM005, the 7200.14 hard drives and all other 4KB new hard drives.

This new support and feature makes all data recovery engineers more successful in recovering these damaged new hard drives and people will like DFL-DDP more.

Selective head image is one very important feature for advanced data recovery hardware solutions and it’s often used when there’s single head image or when some heads are weak.

When users have weak heads or single head damage, the hdd is usually not detected in pc, or detected very slowly and no data is found or read. When users try to scan the hdd, users will find regular bad sectors, users can try different LBA ranges to scan and find this one out.

If users can test the heads directly, that can be even more direct to find out the head health information and then use the selective head image function. If the wanted data happens to be on the good heads, then users get all data after imaging from the good heads, but if some wanted files are located on the bad heads, users need then to swap the heads in clean room.

In the current version of DFL-DDP USB3.0 data recovery equipment, selective head image of Seagate, Western Digital, Hitachi, Toshiba, Fujitsu have been supported and will later add Samsung and other brands too.  Dolphin Data Lab is creating more and more powerful data recovery functions for DFL-DDP and users will always make greater success with Dolphin data recovery tools.
