Users just need to backup the original ROM and write to the firmware unlock PCB or users can transfer the original rom chip to firmware unlock pcb and then users can easily access the firmware area and repair the firmware corruption.

Please note: This firmware unlock PCB doesn’t help on the WD SMR HDD SED V2 data encryption issue, it helps only to access firmware area. To fix the SED V2 data encryption issue, users need to transfer the main chip from the data drive to the firmware unlock PCB or users need to use the original PCB after firmware repair with the firmware unlock PCB.
