With the WD original USB PCB 2060-810035-000, users cannot work with the ROM and firmware area due to the MCU lock and then users cannot recover the lost data if the patient WD HDDs have suffered firmware corruptions.
This is one customized HDD firmware unlock SATA PCB specially for these WD USB HDDs who pcb number is 2060-810035-000.

PCB number: 2060-810035-000 REV P0 on the PCB.
To access the ROM and firmware area, users need to transfer the patient ROM chip to the unlock PCB by soldering or need to use HDD ROM chip pin reader to read the patient HDD ROM directly and then write the patient ROM to the unlock PCB without soldering.
Please note: This firmware unlock PCB doesn’t help on the WD SMR HDD SED V2 data encryption issue, it helps only to access firmware area. To fix the SED V2 data encryption issue, users need to use HDD USB-SATA Wiring PCB Pro. or WD PCB 8X00XX USB-SATA Adapter Smart Package Pro.
