This is WD undetected HDD data recovery case study of WD30EZRX-00D8PB0 for one DFL user in the USA. The user has DFL SRP USB3.0 data recovery equipment.
When the user tried to connect the patient HDD to DFL-SRP data recovery hardware, the patient HDD was working very slowly and not detected and the SA and ROM cannot be accessed directly too.
This user applied for Dolphin remote support to fix this case. The user was suggested to short connect TV9 and TV10 to enter the DFL WD firmware repair program.
Next the engineer backup the ROM and important firmware modules and then go to Common>Common Repair>Slow Fix and then go to the log window to make sure the slow fix function works properly and successfully.
After the slow fix was done, the engineer enabled the module 02, restarted the firmware and then the HDD was able to be accessed directly both in SA and data areas.
