DFL-WDII New Hardware Upgrade Instructions And Options
Dolphin Data Lab has worked out the new hardware-DFL-FRP (Firmware Repair Plus), users with DFL-WDII old hardware are able to upgrade to this latest hardware.
DFL-FRP has one SATA port, one IDE port and these two ports are working independently, users can repair two drives at the same time. Besides, users can also operate on one WD USB disk by connecting the USB hard disk to the PC. Users will be able to select the USB channel when entering the program.
Users can keep using the old hardware of DFL-WDII or upgrade to this new hardware.
It’s not compulsory. Dolphin Data Lab will create new software to be compatible with the old hardware.
If users have the DFL-WDII only
Option 1: Users can upgrade to DFL-FRP supporting WD only. Users need to send the old box back to us, pay the shipping cost and hardware upgrade cost.
Option 2: Users can upgrade to DFL-FRP supporting both WD and Seagate, users need to send the old box back to us, users can save the WD hardware upgrade cost and just need to pay the price of Seagate hdd firmware repair part;
If users have both DFL-WDII and DFL-STII
Option 1: Users can upgrade the DFL-WDII to DFL-FRP supporting WD only. Users need to send the old DFL-WDII box back to us, pay the shipping cost and hardware upgrade cost.
Option 2: Users can upgrade to DFL-FRP supporting both WD and Seagate and send backup to us both the WDII and STII without paying any hardware upgrade cost but only shipping cost.
Users can also select to keep the existing DFL tools and buy the new DFL-FRP, this is ok too.
