Video Adapter–An expansion chip or card set that is built into a motherboard and provides the capability to display graphics and text on the monitor of a computer. The physical connector for the monitor cable is included if the adapter is part of an expansion card. The video connector will be on the motherboard as well if it is a chipset on the motherboard.
