Virus–A program written to cause damage or mischief to a system. Viruses can be mild but most do serious damage including to files, registry and even hardware. They are easy to propagate and hard to detect and difficult to remove. It can be copied into a computer when a corrupted file is copied from a diskette or downloaded from the internet by the user.
