Partition Table–A data structure of size 64 bytes which decides in what way the PC’s hard disk is divided into partitions or logical sectors. The partition table showcases how the hard disk is divided for the O.S. The corresponding entry in the partition table is reserved by each partition on a disk. This table is stored in the disk drive’s first physical sector.
