Plug-and-Play (PnP) –A software and hardware specification which was developed by Intel that allows automatic configuration of a PnP adapter and PnP system. PnP cards are configured with supplied software for non-PnP computers or via the PnP system’s BIOS and generally have no switches or jumpers.
